Alexander is an employment lawyer, practicing in the areas of employment law, labour law, human rights, and civil litigation. He offers severance and contract reviews and negotiations, representing clients with claims concerning wrongful dismissal, discrimination, bullying, constructive dismissal and civil litigation.

Practice

Alexander’s practise is comprised of offering legal advice to individuals who are facing work place issues, negotiating on their behalf and representing them against their employer and or in human rights complaints. His practice focuses on practical and cost-effective dispute resolution.

Experience

Prior to joining Cashion Legal, Alexander was an associate lawyer at a well-respected boutique estate law firm, where he received quality experience at all stages of the litigation process. During his legal career, Alexander has developed strong analytical skills which he utilizes to assess each client’s unique situation and tailor his advice to each client’s distinctive needs. Alexander has independently represented clients at the Alberta Court of Justice and the Court of King’s Bench of Alberta, Further, Alexander has been co-counsel in hearings at the Alberta Court of Appeal.

Credentials

Alexander holds a Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Calgary and an Honours Bachelors of Arts in Sociology from Lakehead University, whereby he received first class standing each year. Alexander has been awarded several accolades during his academic career, including winning the Alberta Law Review’s 2021 Morrow Essay Contest, and being the recipient of the 2017 “Outstanding Graduating Student Award” from the Canadian Sociological Association.

Get to know Alexander

Prior to moving to Calgary with his wife in 2018, Alexander resided in Thunder Bay, Ontario, where he gained an appreciation of various outdoor activities. Alexander spends his free time snowboarding, golfing, gardening, walking his dog, and practicing piano (almost) every day.
